Far too often there seems to be a divide between the police and the public. This podcast is dedicated to bridging the gap between police and the communities they serve. As a former law enforcement executive, I will analyze police procedures and give a layman's understanding to the public. I will also review relevant events that are occurring around the U.S. in attempts to give the public some of the reasons why the police may have taken certain courses of action. The goal of this program is to bring all groups together and to work in harmony to make all communities better and more cohesive.

The opioid crisis has been ravaging the country for quite some time now. But the reaction to the flooding of dangerous drugs into communities has not always garnered the best of responses. And those differing responses, of criminalizing vs care, have been based upon the communities which were hit. In this episode, we will explore the differences in reactions to the opioid crisis vs the crack crisis of the 1980s. Dr. Kanika Turner will shed light on what she and other doctors are doing to combat this growing problem.
