Far too often there seems to be a divide between the police and the public. This podcast is dedicated to bridging the gap between police and the communities they serve. As a former law enforcement executive, I will analyze police procedures and give a layman's understanding to the public. I will also review relevant events that are occurring around the U.S. in attempts to give the public some of the reasons why the police may have taken certain courses of action. The goal of this program is to bring all groups together and to work in harmony to make all communities better and more cohesive.

No Transparency in NC Shooting of Andrew Brown, Jr
Wednesday May 19, 2021
Wednesday May 19, 2021
If one needs more evidence that DA's who work closely with officers should not be allowed to review their shootings and other serious events, look no further. The DA in the shooting case of Andrew Brown Jr has declined to press charges and is refusing to release the full bodycam footage of the involved officers. This lack of transparency causes mistrust and distrust of law enforcement and the criminal justice system as a whole.

Monday May 10, 2021
I had a couple of thoughts concerning a question as to what people should tell their children when interacting with the police or facing difficulties in the world. I ranted for a few moments and gave some sound advice that all people should employ in their daily lives.

It is right to be concerned with a family after their tragic loss at the hands of the police. But it is just as right to be concerned about the emotional survival of police officers after they have been in a traumatizing event, such as a police shooting. My guest today has been in a police shooting (OIS) and knows the emotional and psychological toll it can take on someone.

Asian Hate & Painting POC as Villians w/ Dr. Taharee Jackson
Sunday Mar 28, 2021
Sunday Mar 28, 2021
Until the majority population understands that POC are not a monolith then we will continue to deal with press conferences and speeches in which authority figures are blind to their comments. An honest reckoning needs to occur, that clearly isn't happening. That realization is that members of any and all communicates have the potential to do good and evil. But for some reason, there is a reluctance to admit that in one specific community there are members who commit acts of violence and they are deemed as having a bad day or some other outlier. Dr. Taharee Jackson returns to shed light on how we as a society change and move forward.

Art History and the Black Panthers
Sunday Feb 28, 2021
Sunday Feb 28, 2021
Professor emeritus, Jo-Ann Morgan joins me to discuss the historical imagery of Black people and living in America. From Aunt Jemima to Sambo to current images in the media AA portrayal has been a struggle for decency. We have made great strides and the Black Panther Party of the 1960s and 70s was a huge part of reclaiming Black pride. As we close Black History month Dr. Morgan reminds us of the legacy of African American heroes portrayed through art.
