With some of our political leaders completely out to lunch, it is up to us to stay safe in these times. These people would have us be lab rats as they "open" up the economy. Can they really be that greedy? The answer is yes. Our lives are meaningless and they have shown us that they are willing to sacrifice the weak, vulnerable, and elderly for a buck. However, we must remain wise, despite what they are saying.

For just a moment we are gonna dip away from the LE conversation and focus on the natural hair movement. We have all heard of the wrestler who had his dreds cut off before a meet, and most have heard that Gabriel Union abruptly left the show America's Got Talent over a disagreement concerning her hair. Apparently America's got talent, but no tolerance for natural or changing styles of black hair. Prof. Lori Tharps of Temple University will help to shed some light on the mystery surrounding back hair and the natural hair movement.

There has been some debate as to whether the police and correctional facilities should be abolished. My guest, Prof. Alex Vitale does not take that stance, however, he does believe that the political structure which creates and approves of many of the mandates of law enforcement should be changed or improved. Prof. Vitale is the author of End of Policing. In that work, he explores many of the roles that law enforcement has taken and analyzes whether the programs have worked or made the problems worse.

The Ungroup is a group that is dedicated to helping the young generation understand their roots and history. Warren Leach and other members of the group are educating Black and Latino youth about their history and importance in the world. Not only is the Ungroup educating youth about history, but they are also teaching the importance of building generational wealth. I hope you're as inspired as I am while listening to Me Leach.
